Bad List Check — Negative Watchlist Screening
A Bad List Check screens a person's or company's name against negative watchlists to reveal sanctions, debarments, and regulatory or criminal red flags before you engage.
Screenzaa screens across 200+ Indian and global lists, including UN and international sanctions, the RBI caution list, SEBI debarred entities, MHA and UAPA banned organisations, wanted lists, and adverse-media (negative news) sources.
When to run a Bad List Check
Before hiring an employee, onboarding a vendor or business partner, renting to a tenant, or entering a financial or personal relationship — anywhere you need to confirm someone is not flagged on a watchlist.
Results are delivered as a clear report, shared only with you via email.
What we search against
Indian regulatory and enforcement lists (for example CBI, RBI, SEBI, ED and MCA), government and statutory lists such as UAPA listings by the Ministry of Home Affairs, global sanctions and terror lists such as the UN Security Council list, and publicly available adverse-media and defaulter records where applicable. The Full and Aadhaar plans search 200+ India and global lists; the Small plan covers a focused set (UNSC and UAPA by MHA).
How matches work
A match means the details you submitted resemble an entry on one or more lists. It is a signal for further review, not a verdict. On eligible plans you can choose Show High Quality (fewer, stronger matches) or Show All Possible (broader, but more likely to include false matches).

Frequently asked questions
What is AML watchlist and sanctions screening?
A Bad List check is AML watchlist, sanctions and PEP name screening — it matches a person or company against negative lists (denied-party and negative-list screening) so you can screen before onboarding or engaging.
Which lists do you screen against?
The UN sanctions list, RBI caution list, SEBI debarred entities, MHA/UAPA banned organisations and 200+ other India and global lists, plus publicly available adverse-media and defaulter records where applicable.
Is this a criminal record or terror watchlist check?
The check flags terror-watchlist and enforcement-list matches (for example UAPA/MHA and UNSC) as a signal for review — it is not a criminal-record verdict.
Can businesses use it to screen customers before onboarding?
Yes — banks, NBFCs, fintechs, insurers and other businesses use name screening and customer due diligence before onboarding vendors, customers or third parties. Each report is generated for the requester only.
